Giving Back in May: Supporting ABC House in Albany, Oregon

At Borrowed Leather Goods, giving back is at the heart of what we do. Each month, we donate 10% of our profits to a different organization doing meaningful work in their community. For the month of May, we’re proud to support ABC House in Albany, Oregon — a place where healing begins for some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

What Is ABC House?

ABC House is a Child Abuse Intervention Center that serves children and families in Linn and Benton counties. Their mission is simple yet powerful: to provide high-quality child abuse assessments and support for children who may have experienced abuse or neglect. They work alongside law enforcement, child protective services, medical professionals, and counselors to ensure that children are not only protected but also cared for in a trauma-informed, compassionate environment.

The Impact of ABC House

Every year, hundreds of children walk through the doors of ABC House. Many are scared, confused, and hurting. But at ABC House, they find safety, understanding, and a team of dedicated professionals who believe every child deserves to be heard and protected.

Their services include:

  • Medical exams and forensic interviews conducted in a safe, child-friendly space.

  • Family support and advocacy, helping caregivers navigate complex systems.

  • Trauma therapy and mental health services for long-term healing.

  • Community education and training, working to prevent abuse before it happens.

ABC House does all of this with respect, sensitivity, and the utmost professionalism, always putting the child’s well-being first.

Why We Chose ABC House

We believe in strong, healthy communities — and that starts with taking care of our children. We’re inspired by the work ABC House does every day to bring hope, healing, and justice to kids who need it most. Their team steps up in moments of crisis and walks families through the long road of recovery with patience and care.
